This is your chance to own a quality home through a program designed to help rpovide home ownership to low and moderate income families. Capitol Mall Association is a nonprofit community organization renovating and building single-family homes in three primary neighborhoods near downtown Phoenix between 7th Avenue and I-17, Harrison and I-10 as well as citywide.
CMA's Affordable Housing Program can connect qualified buyers with:
- Housing counseling to understand the costs, documents and responsibilities associated with buying a house;
- Information about permanent financing from banks committed to providing loans to qualified buyers;
- Financial assistance to reduce down payments and closing cost requirements
- Subsidies to make a house affordable for low to moderate income home buyers.

CMA sells homes to market rate and low to moderate income home-buyers. Low to moderate income buyers must deposit a minimum of $1,000 cash down payment and will likely need to qualify for a mortgage of between $115,000-$165,000*. Individual Loan programs may very on the required minimum down payment. A subsidy may be available in the form of a forgivable soft second mortgage of up to $25,000 for low to moderate income buyers.
